Mmm...Perhaps the wind is sending me a message. It seems to come always in time for a new season, to blow away summer...(deep breathing)
This cold front is sending more than a bluster of mini tornadoes, but the promise of fall...
and torture...
6:00 am-Cross country practice
7:00 am-get ready for school
8:00 am to 3:00 pm-School...(the torture part)
3:00 pm to 5:00 pm- volleyball practice
5:00 pm to 7:30 pm- musical practice
8:00 pm- homework and EHS
9:00 pm- dinner
9:30- I would like to call this relaxation time, but its probably going to be figuring out how to raise money for my class or memorizing scripture mastery...But most likely reading....
10:00-out cold
That's basically just a schedule for a plain old Monday. The other days kind of get more difficult.
do you think I am over-doing it? Is this good for me? And now I get the nerve to try-out for the One-Voice Choir and add to the chaos.
HOWEVER>>>
I love it.
It's me and it is what I enjoy doing. For why be idle when there are so many opportunities before me?!? Well...that's not really what this post is all about. It is in fact a warning...
Of fall. Can you smell it? I CAN!!! For some peculiar reason...I have an uncanny ability to detect falls arrival.
(MPHMMMM) * that was me trying to make an onomatopoeia for deep sniffing...
YEP! That's it all right. I love fall. Yes I do. Perhaps its the childhood memories that fill a storage box with Halloween decor...or the leaves. Fall reminds me of general conference, harvesting, football, and walks in light jackets. It smells like pumpkins and fresh air and sounds like crunching leaves family conversations. This may sound odd...but there is a certain calmness about nature decaying all around you. It's been through it's cycle and leaves a promise for spring. I think dead things are beautiful! That came out wrong...

seeking the successive autumns."

I love fall too! Your post, and the 68 degree weather, has got me in the mood. Can't wait to put up my fall foilage tomorrow and my pumpkin spice scentsy!
ReplyDeleteAwe... Lauren. Loved your post. I'm liking the part of walking on crunching leaves, having conversation with family! Pick me! Pick me! Please fit me in to your busy schedule and let's go for a walk... Love you!
